I approach therapy as a partnership built to support people through their journey of mental wellness and self discovery. I build the foundation of this partnership through active listening, empathy, and compassion. As we move forward, I guide people to build insight into their current patterns and explore how various patterns do and do not serve them. From there, I support individuals in accepting or changing these patterns. For some this involves learning and practicing new skills. For others it might include processing and healing from past trauma. Throughout my practice, I use a social justice lens to support clients in understanding how their environment impacts their mental wellness and general well being. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over eight years of experience supporting people. I have worked with people impacted by life transitions, depression, anxiety, effects of past trauma, and challenges within interpersonal relationships. My model for change is rooted within Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavior Therapy and pulls from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. This integrative approach allows me to support my clients in the way that best serves them.
