I am licensed independent clinical social worker and licensed school adjustment counselor in Massachusetts. I earned my Masters in Social Work from Boston College and my Bachelors of Science from Northeastern University. I specialize in working with those who suffer from chronic pain, anxiety and stress, helping to reclaim healing and empowerment. My approach to therapy focuses on building a trusting and interactive relationship that offers a safe place to explore and uncover truths with expert guidance and clarity. I offer empathy, curiosity, humor and accountability to foster collaboration and hope. I deeply believe in one's resiliency and my goal is always to help my clients more clearly see their innate strengths as the building blocks for change. With personal success and training with Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), a mind-body program rooted in neuroscience, I am able to help others reduce and eliminate pain from their daily lives. Neuroscience has shown that while pain feels like it is coming from the body, in most cases it's generated by misfiring pain circuits in the brain. PRT provides a way out of chronic pain utilizing psychoeducation, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and emotional processing. My previous work experience includes school social work, clinical work in residential treatment programs, crisis stabilization programs and an outpatient community mental health center for young adults.
