I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with extensive clinical experience. I use a variety of effective, reliable therapeutic strategies specializing in Narrative therapy, and other strength-based approaches in which the stories of our life journeys can be explored and thoughts can be reframed in life affirming ways. My primary focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship in which individuals feel valued and respected. I believe that people are experts in their own lives. We will use a non-pathologizing, curiosity-based approach. I regard therapy as a sacred space. A session is your creative space to develop your preferred story. I specialize in collaborating on LGBTQI+ issues, disability, neurodiversity, elder concerns, substance misuse, adjustment challenges, anxiety and depression, along with working with folks who perceive reality in different ways. I work with adolescents and adults in both individual and group settings. As an LADC, I use a non-coercive, harm reduction approach. I have experience working within the constraints of the legal system, probation/parole and other legal considerations. I identify as part of the recovery community. I am a white, trans-identified, nonbinary, dual national of the US/UK and spent many of my formative years in Canada. As such, I have a unique multicultural lens. I am also a BBHT approved supervisor on both licenses and, as such am able to provide quality supervision to developing Mental Health and Substance Misuse Providers.
