Welcome to Wild Heron, a practice where we'll work together on your path to healing and personal growth. I'm here to support you as we explore the challenges you're facing and uncover the strengths within you. Whether you're looking for a fresh perspective or deep, transformative change, I'm glad you've taken this first step. Wild Heron draws inspiration from the natural world, where herons embody resilience, adaptability, and innate wisdom. These majestic birds teach us to trust our inner knowing as we navigate life's challenges. In our work together, we'll explore your inner "wildness" – those authentic, untamed parts of yourself that hold profound insights and strength. Like a heron standing tall in flowing waters, we'll cultivate patience and self-reliance, allowing you to move through life's currents with grace and purpose. Our therapeutic approach honors both the quiet observation of the heron and the transformative power of embracing our true nature. Together, we'll navigate life's complexities – whether you're facing grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, life transitions, exploring your identity, or something else. I believe in creating a compassionate environment where growth is not only possible but also infused with moments of joy, laughter, and insight. My approach blends traditional therapy with experiential techniques, drawing from somatic practices, cognitive and dialectical therapies, inner child work, psychodrama, mindfulness, and more. With a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Addiction Counselor Candidate (ADDC) in Colorado. My background also includes over a decade in outdoor education, leading transformative expeditions that have shaped my holistic perspective on healing, as well as training in Somatic Bodywork, Vipassana meditation, and Psychodrama. At Wild Heron, we'll work together to uncover your innate strengths and navigate life's challenges with grace. Our journey will be one of self-discovery and growth, tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. I'm looking forward to meeting you and supporting you as you forge your path forward. Let's begin this transformative work together.
