I was trained as a "systems clinician" which means I am always thinking about my clients as the protagonists of their own stories within their systems, namely their family of origin and family of creation. In therapy, I create space to make sense of a client's past: to process their wounds and celebrate their triumphs. I am equally invested in developing ways to ground in the present and prayerfully consider the future. I have a seminary background and a masters degree in human development and family studies. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, the bulk of my training is in couples therapy. I developed an 8-session premarital counseling curriculum and have training in relational crisis and trauma. I also love working one-on-one with clients. I often work with adult women experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relational distress, and life transitions. I have a sincere regard and respect for my clients. My caseload is currently full and I am not accepting new clients at this time. Please do reach out if you'd like a referral; I am happy to put together a personalized list of Christian therapists in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts based on your presenting issues and therapeutic goals.
