Elizabeth Ducey-Hardos believes effective solutions are as diverse as the people seeking them. But when you have consistently struggled with procrastination, disorganization, inconsistent focus, and feeling overwhelmed, identifying those solutions can feel like an insurmountable task. For neurodivergent folks operating in a world tailored to neurotypical brains and needs, that task can feel even more daunting. In her work with clients, Elizabeth seeks to support neurodiverse individuals in identifying and developing solutions that align with their values, goals, and personal identities. Her approach integrates solution focused, cognitive behavioral, and person-centered modalities to provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy and executive function coaching. Elizabeth specializes in working with neurodivergent individuals hoping to improve executive function and neurodiverse couples seeking to build mutual understanding and stronger relationships. She also has experience working with people in recovery as well as those interested in exploring their relationship with alcohol and/or other drugs. Prior to entering the field of mental health, Elizabeth worked for over a decade providing academic support to neurodiverse students as a STEM educator. As a mental health practitioner, she has worked in several settings including crisis stabilization and community-based mental health for adults and children as well as dual diagnosis outpatient and residential treatment for adults. She holds a master's degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University and a bachelor's degree in biology from University of California Santa Cruz.
