With my educational background and training in collaborative and strengths-based therapy, I believe each person has within them the strengths and capacity to work through whatever difficult life situation has brought them to therapy. Working from a collaborative framework, my role as a therapist is centered on assisting and working alongside each client in identifying their intrinsic talents and their capacity to effect change. Collaboration, honesty, respect, and empowerment for both the therapist and the client are key components of the client-centered method known as collaborative therapy. Clients are able to have meaningful conversations about what they wish to change by participating as partners in the therapy relationship. It is my hope and goal to provide a warm and authentic space for clients, while also providing a safe therapy environment that leads them to self-discovery, growth and fulfillment as well as mental and emotional healing.
