I believe in developing a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship which ensures clients reach their goals. I’m passionate about helping clients set boundaries, improve communication skills and relationships, and better manage their mental health symptoms using an eclectic approach including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other modalities. I am LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC allied. All are welcome here! ********************************************************************************************** We are happy to announce the addition of therapist and Social Worker Kendra Richardson, LMSW (she/her). She provides telehealth services to adults and older teens. Notes from Kendra: As human beings we inherently experience life stressors, sometimes severe ones, that can begin to unravel our lives. This can present through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship breakdown, and addiction. I am passionate and committed to helping individuals arrive at a place of healing and wholeness. I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires empathy and compassion without judgment. I know that no single approach is effective for all individuals, so I work together with the client to create a plan to reach goals that are tailored to them and their beliefs. As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment in which clients can openly address their mental health needs. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling. My educational background includes a MSW in Clinical Social Work from Walden University. I have a BSW in Social Work from the University of Missouri. I have a strong connection to strength-based and collaborative approaches while utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care. ********************************************************************************************** We also offer sessions with therapist and Social Worker Natalina Mariscal, LMSW (she/her). She provides telehealth services to adults. Notes from Natalina: Sometimes your usual ways of coping with stress and difficult situations stop working. This can leave you feeling ill-equipped to manage aspects of your life. As a result, you may be feeling sad, worried, scared, angry, and/or overwhelmed. I strive to help people better understand the nature of their problems and develop more effective ways to cope with them. I believe greater self-awareness, in combination with behavior changes, can lead to a richer and more satisfying life. My practice is one of flexibility and choice, where goals are made collaboratively and free of judgement. I believe in introducing you to the skills and strengths you already have within. I give clients tips and tools to help them manage their difficult feelings throughout the week and to work on long term rewiring of their brain to help get them long term. Through collaborative work, there is hope for changing behaviors, beliefs, and conflicts that are impeding you from having the better life that you deserve! ********************************************************************************************** We are happy to announce the addition of therapist and Social Worker Kristen Crum, LMSW (she/her). With someone to help you find your unique path, overcome setbacks, and share your voice, you can discover peace despite the challenges that life throws at us. I have a strength-based therapy style and emphasize compassion and empathy. Using strategies including mindfulness techniques, solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing, I can help you find new ways to cope with stress, anxiety, depression, conflict, grief/loss and other challenging life issues.
