Introduction

If someone waved a magic wand and all your problems disappeared, what would you be doing that you’re not doing now? What would you stop doing that you are doing now? You don’t have to hide the fact that you are human. You don’t have to hide the fact that you struggle. Rather, I believe everyone has patterns that can keep them stuck. My goal is to help you discover those patterns and start helping you move toward the things that you find meaningful. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and depression. My passion lies in the practice of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a therapeutic approach rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I help my clients utilize mindfulness, as well as other skills, to build a new relationship with difficult experiences, and work toward psychological flexibility. I also integrate other interventions to meet the needs of my clients. My educational background includes a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) earned through Midwestern University's APA-Accredited program. Additionally, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Psychology from Illinois State University. Previous to my role as a therapist, I worked in the medical field for over 15 years. I believe this experience gives me a unique perspective on my clients and their struggles. In my spare time, you can find me tending to my garden, walking my dog, reading, or doing something creative. I also love watching ice hockey and spending time outdoors with my family and friends.
