Life can feel very hard at times. Trauma can take many different forms in your life and have painful effects, whether you have experienced societal discrimination (e.g., racism), family conflict, neglect, emotional/physical/sexual/spiritual abuse, a loss, a breakup, or any other personally upsetting moment or period in your life. My biggest passion is empowering clients who have felt misunderstood, unseen, or mistreated in their lives, and helping them learn everyday skills to handle overwhelming emotions and experiences. In the past, my clients have described our therapeutic work together as both insightful and practical. I believe that therapy is about finding feelings of hope, safety, and understanding for yourself within the context of a professional relationship. In sessions, I am down-to-earth, empathic, and accepting while paying attention to how your identity shapes who you are as a person. I believe that your past and present experiences are equally important. I have worked in PA and DE, including at a(n) community mental health clinic, public university, inpatient psychiatric hospital, private practice, and residential treatment facility, offering both psychotherapy and assessment services. If you are feeling down, lost, or discouraged, feel free to reach out to me if you feel we may be a good fit.
