I provide telehealth for clients in Louisiana and walk and talk therapy in New Orleans. I have helped clients with a variety of issues since 2013. I'm especially passionate about anxiety in all its forms and about unique parenting needs. Anxiety Managing anxiety can help you to enjoy life, be present in the moment, and turn down the volume of that critical, doubting voice in your head. Anxiety can present in many different ways, such as physical manifestations like panic attacks, fatigue, or digestive issues, cognitive behavioral symptoms like perfectionism, rumination, rigidity, and avoidance, and changes in mood like tearfulness, nervousness, dread, and depression. You’ll have various options to choose from for managing anxiety: mindfulness and relaxation skills, examining anxiety-provoking thoughts, and learning to tolerate distress. If appropriate, I may suggest a more structured protocol. I have training and supervised experience in providing exposure therapy for generalized anxiety disorder, panic attack disorder, PTSD, and OCD. Parents of Older Children There's a lot of information, resources, and support for parents of young children, but less for parents of adolescents and adults. The approach that worked when you were raising a child isn’t effective when that child is becoming an adult. You need new skills for communicating and setting limits. I have training and experience helping parents update their toolkit and revise their approach to parenthood. Additionally, as your child transitions to adulthood, you too are going through growth and development and entering a new chapter in your life. You deserve a space to feel all the feelings, explore your possibilities, and strike out on a new path. Stepparents Navigating your new family’s culture and history is a lifelong pursuit, and stepparents at all stages of joining and blending deserve emotional support and strategies for relationship building. Defining your role, boundaries, and expectations, as well as your philosophy of parenting, can direct you to the approach that fits your unique situation. When done with awareness, intention, and support, joining and blending families is an opportunity to enrich the support system. All virtual sessions are held online via a secure, HIPPA compliant video service All walk and talk sessions are held in New Orleans area parks I charge $150 per session I am currently licensed to see clients residing in Louisiana I do not accept any insurance Credit Card payments only
