Hello, I’m Emma! I am a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and have experience providing mental health services in outpatient, university, and K-12 school settings. I work with youth ages 3-18, as well as individuals in early adulthood. My areas of clinical interest include: emotion regulation, ADHD, social skills, trauma and stressor-related symptoms, identity and self-esteem, and life transitions/adjustment. I describe my counseling approach as person-centered and strengths-based. I aim to meet clients where they are, while assisting them in tapping into, and growing, their existing strengths. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients feel heard and can develop the tools to navigate through the twists and turns of life. I offer virtual and in-person services for clients ages 12+, and in-person services for clients ages 3-12. Virtual services for clients under 12 are assessed on a case-by-case basis. I believe that therapist-client fit is very important and will do my best to answer your questions and support you in finding your desired care. *Please note*: If you request an appointment online, you will receive a follow-up email from the Road to Ready Counseling Practice Manager to provide you with the initial paperwork as well as to verify insurance or payment method. These steps must be completed in order for your appointment request to be confirmed.
