Hi, I’m Emmarose Schmitt! I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Addictions-Informed Mental Health Professional (CAIMPH) with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have a strong interest in supporting individuals struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, panic, and those managing difficult life transitions, loss, and relationship/family conflict. I have training in trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. I additionally have experience working with individuals and families in the foster care system, and am deeply passionate about minimizing systemic barriers to care faced by vulnerable populations. The therapeutic approaches I primarily utilize are trauma-informed, strengths-based, and compassion-focused. I have experience providing evidence-based techniques including CBT, DBT, behavioral activation, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused brief therapy, among others.. My therapy style is warm, active, and non-judgmental. I am committed to fostering a safe and approachable therapeutic environment for clients in which they feel accepted and heard. I strive to connect and collaborate with my clients, utilizing their personal strengths and individuality to support positive growth and lasting wellness.
