Introduction

My name is Dr. Erica Peters Finan. I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy and consultation services to improve people’s health and well-being. In my psychotherapy practice, I specialize in treating women’s mental health concerns related to: • anxiety • depression • chronic pain • insomnia • caregiver stress • burnout • menstruation and menopause • pregnancy and postpartum • adjustment to chronic illness (e.g., endometriosis, autoimmune disorders) My approach to therapy is evidence-based and tailored to each client’s individual needs. Therapeutic approaches I use include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs). I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Vermont, and completed my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine. In addition to practicing as a psychologist, I have conducted clinical research throughout my career, with a particular focus on the effects of cannabis and cannabidiol (CBD) on women’s health. See below sample of published works. For adults and organizations who are interested in learning about medical cannabis, I offer research-supported consultation on cannabis safety, effects, and dosing.
