My specialty in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and my collaborative relational approach mean we will work together to engage your curiosity about how early experiences, unconscious motivations, thoughts, or fears may contribute to your life today. My integrative style means we may also bring in additional tools drawn from mindfulness-based, dialectical-behavioral, or trauma-focused therapies to meet your specific needs. Together, we will work to foster compassion for your struggles and motivation to create the life you desire. You can expect me to be warm and compassionate as well as direct and straightforwardly honest. My goal is to provide a safe place where you can be your authentic and genuine self and for us to build a trusting relationship where we can work to help you increase your capacity for intimate relationships and improve your relationship to yourself. Research has shown that the most important factor in predicting successful therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist, and I know finding the right therapist can be challenging.
