I am the owner of and therapist at Thriving Minds Counseling, a Colorado Springs based private practice. My approach consists of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). My aim is to meet people where they are in their pursuit of change and guide them towards a greater understanding of themselves while finding practical, strengths-based coping skills that they can incorporate into their daily lives. I have been a therapist since 2016. I earned my Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Akron. My initial work experience was at a non-profit community mental health agency in Ohio where I worked with individuals from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds. My most recent experience has been working at smaller and larger group practices that serve communities in Colorado. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a Victim's Advocate and Assistant Legal Advocate at a domestic violence shelter in Ohio.
