As a therapist, my approach is both direct and empathetic. I believe in working collaboratively with clients to create a supportive and compassionate environment. My therapeutic methods are client-centered, and will vary based on client need. Some methods I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), meditation, and guided imagery. My specialties include depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, ADHD, chronic illness, pain management, and end-of-life concerns. At Silver Lining Counseling, I understand that choosing to go to therapy can indeed be a daunting decision, as it often involves confronting deep-seated vulnerabilities and fears. However, it can also be a pivotal step towards personal growth and well-being. Therapy can offer a structured space to explore feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed, while also providing tools and strategies to navigate life's challenges more effectively. With years of experience in various facets of mental health and social work, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care. My practice will offer a safe, confidential space where individuals can explore their emotions and challenges with empathy and understanding while assisting them to meet their goals, large or small.
