Utilizing a person-centered, non-directive framework with a focus on how early experiences may shape one’s sense of self and relational patterns, my approach to therapy is structured, creative, affirming, and work-oriented with room for both exploration and skill-building. My goal is to create an environment where it feels safe to try. Trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), I draw upon the concepts of psychodynamic theory, Bowen Family Systems Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as the principles of mindfulness in order to promote an increased sense of self-compassion, competence, and well-being in my clients.
