I believe that each client that I work with deserves individualized care and attention as they reach out in times of stress or difficulty. I strive to make the process of seeking help as smooth and welcoming as possible. My approach to counseling is client-centered & integrates various modalities through an Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) framework. I meet clients where they are at and work collaboratively with them to establish realistic goals for treatment, to identify and build on strengths, and to create a supportive environment where clients feel safe to connect to their emotions or express vulnerabilities. I am experienced in addressing mood symptoms, anxiety, trauma, loss, life changes, and self-destructive behaviors. I am trained in a number of trauma-informed and evidence based therapeutic techniques. I completed Level 2 IFS Training on IFS, Trauma, and Neuroscience. I am a lifelong learner and continue to pursue post-graduate trainings. I bring compassion, empathy, and humor to each therapy session. I often find that clients possess unrecognized inner strength and resilience. As a result, I focus on helping clients enhance their ability to access and make decisions from their own values and inner wisdom to live happy, open-hearted, and fulfilling lives.
