Hello, my name is Esmeralda Estrada, and I am a Bilingual Psychotherapist at Latinx Talk Therapy. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR), I blend psychoeducation, Spanglish, and art in sessions, emphasizing empathy and strengths. Tailoring to each individual, I employ Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), person-centered, and psychoanalytic approaches. Creating a safe haven for self-exploration, I aid in understanding life's impacts. Thriving involves mental health care, connecting past experiences to present solutions through an expressive journey. Whether in-person or virtually, my aim is to support clients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and more, especially within BIPOC communities. Growing up in Chicago's Latino neighborhood, art's healing power led me to pursue Art Therapy. With a master's from Adler University, my journey included aiding migrant youth and working in Cook County's juvenile justice system. As a Latina, I'm dedicated to erasing mental health stigma, providing culturally sensitive services to diverse populations. Specializing in Art Therapy, TF-CBT, and DBT, I assist youth, families, and individuals in navigating various life challenges, emphasizing cultural identity and immigration issues.
