I am an integral part of the Azz-ert Urself! Inc. as a licensed Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy. I earned an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and a B.A. from Norfolk State University. My journey with the team has been marked by growth and leadership, having been promoted twice since joining and now leading other interns in our Internship Program. I am experienced in both family services and intensive in-home counseling, and I specialize in assisting couples and families. Individuals and couples who typically seek to work with me are between the ages of 25-45, and they are either parents or planning to start a family. My clients are often navigating significant life transitions, such as parenting challenges, career changes, or shifts in their relationships. They come from diverse or cross-cultural backgrounds and may be dealing with issues related to cultural identity or family conflicts. Additionally, some of my clients are working through intergenerational trauma and are committed to breaking unhealthy patterns inherited from their families. They focus on setting healthy boundaries, especially within their family relationships. Common therapeutic goals include: - Healing from intergenerational trauma - Establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries - Managing life transitions effectively - Balancing the preservation of cultural values with emotional well-being What sets me apart is my deep understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds. This knowledge allows me to address multicultural challenges head-on, helping my clients navigate social and cultural influences to improve their overall well-being. I support my clients and team with grace and compassion, leading with my heart while applying theory and practical solutions. My mission is simple: to empower my clients to thrive through adversity. I am currently accepting new clients and conducting PREPARE / ENRICH workshops for couples seeking greater fulfillment, intimacy, trust, and connection in their relationships.
