Introduction

Hello! My name is Evelyn and my pronouns are she/her/hers. My goal as a therapist is to provide you with space to be yourself, to the extent possible, given that in our lives we have to wear so many masks and constantly filter ourselves. I create a non-judgmental, yet challenging atmosphere that allows for personal growth. My office is that precious space that you don’t find just anywhere. MY STYLE: I’m straightforward, open, human, and philosophical. I listen very carefully and offer feedback that can often help you to see things that you haven’t recognized or admitted, or see things in a different light. I speak the truth, although carefully, which is my way of conveying respect and care toward you. THE AREAS OF FOCUS AND EXPERTISE: I love exploring the deep issues of meaning, direction, and purpose. Many of our struggles stem from lack of self-acceptance or limited self-awareness, refusal to accept temporary circumstances, having unhealthy boundaries, fighting with various deep-seated fears, and having unclear values – you can address these and other areas with me to increase your life satisfaction. You’re not broken nor do you need to get fixed – in some areas you just might be unbalanced. The history of living in and being exposed to different cultures/languages (Estonia, Russia, Israel, U.S.), as well as having had the privilege to be immersed in the LGBTQIA+ community have sensitized me to the importance of multicultural issues. I have a better understanding of the struggles that different groups in the LGBTQIA+ community experience. As a trainer and educator, I also provide education and training to others about the LGBTQIA+ community. Personally, I belong to the lovely asexual and aromantic communities.
