Introduction

I have been providing counseling in Hawaii over 20 years. I worked for non-profit organizations and schools in Florida and Maui, before opening up my practice 10 years ago. I was born and raised in Japan most of my youth, until I got my psychology and counseling education in the US. With my exposure to Eastern and Western cultures, I feel comfortable integrating our rich cultures in my counseling practice. I am fluent in English and Japanese. I am trained in CBT, EFT, and brainspotting and somatic experiencing which are cognitive, emotional and brain/body based modalities. I offer a safe and non judgemental space for my client and together, we explore ways to understand oneself and improve mental health with curiosity.
