Welcome! My desire to provide care to others was born by my own experience as a client throughout my life. It was on the couch that I learned the power of an attuned, safe, and supportive other that joins us in bravely exploring and discovering our own capacities and strengths, even in the face of difficulty and hurt. My practice with clients is guided by a deep belief in the innate capacity of human beings to heal, adapt, and grow from even the most traumatic experiences or longstanding difficulties. I utilize approaches that are informed by neuroscience, attachment theory, and current research on trauma, to provide care that supports long-term, integrated healing in both the body and the mind. Although struggle is a universal human condition, no client is the same and I strive to create a therapeutic atmosphere that is unique to each client's perspectives, desires, and experiences. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan dealing with issues including anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, negative thought patterns, emotional avoidance, anger, trauma, relationship & communication difficulties, grief, military-related difficulties, LGBTQIA+ challenges, and burnout. I am supervised by Clare Walter, LCSW.
