Introduction

Hi there! For more than a decade I have had the pleasure of working primarily with LGBTQIA2+ young adult clients, many of whom are neurodivergent. I also enjoy and have extensive experience treating individuals of all ages working through family trauma, codependency and addiction, and dysfunctional relationships. I am based in Tacoma, WA and operate exclusively via telehealth. Because I work with many college students, I am licensed in several states in order to ensure that clients have continuity of care when they return to their home states for breaks. I am currently licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, and Washington. As a therapist, I pride myself on asking good questions and offering practical, actionable insights. I strive to build the trust and safety that productive therapy requires and am particularly sensitive to clients new to therapy. I have honed my listening skills to hear what is both said and unsaid and prioritize your experience of being seen and heard. I respect your autonomy and your authority over your own life and I'm here to help you find ways forward that feel right to you. I also believe that the therapeutic relationship is just that--a real relationship. Together, for clients who are interested, we can examine what is happening in the here-and-now of therapy and see if it might shed some light on patterns you have struggled to change in your other relationships. Not everyone enjoys therapy all of the time--it is work after all and can elicit a range of feelings. It is natural to fear judgment when you are revealing parts of yourself that you would rather people not see. Rest assured there is no moral high ground in my space--in fact, I am frequently humbled by the courage my clients demonstrate. It is my privilege to help you learn, heal and to build on your strengths, not to be beholden to your past. Good chemistry doesn't always happen right out of the gate but an initial consultation can go a long way toward making a good choice for yourself. If I sound like someone you might want to work with, I'd be glad to hear from you.
