What is it like to give so much of ourselves but reap limited gains in return? This idea inspires some discomfort. Yet, many seek therapy to cope with that fundamental question. If we are anxious, depressed, or ill, it may be challenging to deliver on our promises. If we diverge from the collective ideals of beauty and success, then who will be the arbiter of our progress? Life is not claimed by winners or forfeited by losers. That is a myth. Chance factors into the equation, and from it we (thankfully) all have complex, creative emotions to experience. I hold a safe, affirming space where any person can find strength in any challenge. When life seems overwhelming, I want to focus on building you up. No matter how singular, different, or sidelined you are feeling, I want to validate and safeguard your emotions. As a relational-cultural therapist (RCT), I am a proponent of feminist and humanistic psychology. In session, we will regularly promote empathy, explore relationships, and disarm any societal stressors. Outside of psychotherapy, I extend my creative energies to art and media. I thoroughly enjoy illustration, video-games, and cinema. I practice with the Procreate app, collect retro games / genre films, and love visiting expos and cons.
