Is the feeling of not being good enough creeping up on you? I became a therapist to help relieve the painful isolation that comes when people feel alone in their suffering. Sharing one’s innermost struggles can be an incredibly vulnerable yet transformative act. I know firsthand how giving voice to our deepest pains and worries can free us from their burden. As a practitioner, it is my solemn duty and privilege to create a safe space where people can give voice to their challenges without judgment. My therapeutic approach is person-centered CBT – understanding the roots of cognitive patterns and gently challenging them to develop healthier perspectives. I specialize in working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, existential concerns, family issues, loneliness, and social anxiety. Those experiencing loneliness often feel empty, confused, and forgotten by others. Worry and self-consciousness make any social situation uncomfortable, but when depression and anxiety are added to the mix building connections with others can feel completely impossible. I help clients make sense of these experiences and grow into more confident, loving versions of themselves. I collaborate with each client to map out their unique cognitive patterns and triggers. Together we’ll work to uncover the origins of unhelpful thought processes and make gradual but meaningful shifts toward more constructive perspectives. My goal is to empower people to transform their relationship with their own thoughts and emotions, so they can reclaim a sense of hope, belonging, and purpose. By shining light into our darkest places, we can find our way out of the maze of confusion and anguish. Healing starts when we realize we don’t have to take this journey alone.
