My Approach As a therapist, my approach is grounded in connection, collaboration and curiosity. I integrate person-centered and strength-based practices to support your healing and deepen your self-awareness. Together, we will explore how you can embrace your innate strengths, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change. My work is most often with individuals (ages 8+) who are experiencing anxiety, navigating life transitions, or adjusting to significant life events such as - starting or finishing college, entering or leaving the workforce, parenting, coping with personal or professional burnout, adapting to or living with illness—particularly cancer—and processing grief. Parenting Guidance and Support I have a particular interest in supporting parents as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising children at every age and stage! Whether preparing for new parenthood or adapting to the evolving needs of older children, I provide a space for parents to explore their identity and parenting style while fostering open, meaningful family communication. With warmth and a touch of humor, I offer validation, guidance, and strategies to help manage the emotions that can accompany one of life’s most profound experiences. Additionally, I am a trained facilitator for Circle of Security Parenting, a reflective program designed to help parents strengthen secure attachment relationships with their children. I enjoy incorporating this framework into sessions to help parents build deeper connections with their children. Background & Experience I hold both an undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work, earning my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2005. In addition to my private practice, I work as a Family Consultant with Allen Creek Preschool and The U School. I also serve as a support group facilitator substitute with Ele’s Place (a peer based grief support program) and The Cancer Support Community. I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth, I strive to provide a supportive, affirming space for individuals of all identities, expressions, and abilities.
