Seeking support requires courage. If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, or lacking self-esteem, I will provide a place where you will be heard, feel validated, and hopeful. We will work on identifying and breaking down self-defeating thoughts and behaviors so you can develop the tools to gain self confidence and overcome challenges, heal, and grow. I work with adults dealing with anxiety, life changes, depression, relationship issues, chronic pain and illness, and trauma. I view therapy as a collaborative process, using humor and compassion in a non-judgmental space. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness. Sessions can be virtual or in-person/walk-and-talk (in the West Hartford area). Engaging in a physical activity such as walking can help promote overall health and well-being and encourage an open dialogue. I received my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University and am licensed in CT and Washington D.C. I started my career managing programs for refugees and survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. I have been in private practice since 2018. As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, mother, and person managing chronic pain, I have a deep appreciation for individuals from diverse cultures and life experiences. Outside of private practice, I enjoy hiking, spending time outdoors, reading and trying new foods. If you would like to learn more about my approach and think we’d be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a free consultation!
