Despite our differences, all human beings can relate to obstacles arising in life. Our ability to cope with stressors may differ from person to person so my purpose is to create a safe space where any client can be themselves without being judged. Providing support as an additional resource in the life of the client allows them to take a brave step that shows courage in making change. As a therapist my goal is to listen and be encouraging. Building an alliance with my clients, so they understand that you do not have to go through things alone and unheard. Our past does not determine who we end up becoming but we must do the work. Using various clinical approaches such as strengths-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, my goal is to help the client process their emotions and symptoms and formulate a plan moving forward. We are not defined by our trauma, and we can grow with the right mindset and tools. It is okay to ask for help on this journey that is uniquely yours.
