Introduction

I started this practice in 2013 with the goal of providing high quality care while allowing clients to use their insurance to make therapy more accessible and affordable. In addition to working from an integrative approach, I also have a 200-hour yoga teaching certification and weave this into my work with clients. I have additional speciality areas in working with athletes and conducting assessments for ADHD and Learning Disabilities. I'm an avid hiker, lover of the outdoors and mother to an adorable high energy toddler! I have brought on associates who share my beliefs in providing high quality accessible care. Peter Gordon, LGPC, completed his master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University and is currently a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at George Washington University. In his clinical work, Peter works with a diverse clientele, ranging from families, adults and couples. Peter is passionate about his work and utilizes a psychodynamic/strength-based approach in working with clients struggling with mood disorders, emotional dysregulation and those seeking purpose and meaning in their lives. Peter is also adept at working with clients who have experienced various degrees of trauma to regain the confidence to live their most profound lives. Moreover, Peter is passionate about making therapy relatable to marginalized groups that historically view psychotherapy through a cynical lens. Hailing from beautiful Jamaica, Peter is a self-professed fitness enthusiast who believes that mental and physical health go hand in hand. He is currently supervised by Heather Warchocki, Ph.D.
