Hilary Handy, LCSW: Hi I am the owner and lead therapist of Soluna Counseling. I founded the practice in January of 2022 with a deep desire to serve my community. First, I want you to know that I will always see the best in you, unconditionally, I believe that you are a good person and you are doing the best that you can. We all learn patterns and coping skills to get us through the hard parts of life. Sometimes those don’t serve us anymore and sometimes they never did but we don’t know a different way. My job is to walk with you and support your work in healing old wounds, finding new patterns and learning new skills. I’m especially passionate about helping people overcome anxiety, fear, PTSD, attachment disruptions from hard early relationships or environments and traumatic experiences. I also really enjoy working with people that have ADHD like me. I pride myself on being enthusiastically Neurodivergent affirming. As a clinical social worker my perspective of mental health is holistic. I believe we must view and understand many factors when planning a path to wellness. We will work together to explore how your past experiences, relationships and environment impact your current experience and functioning so that you can set attainable goals to get to the future you want for yourself.
