Clinical Psychologist, Founder Center for Anxiety and Women's Emotional Wellness
Specialties: Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Specific Phobia, Social Anxiety, PTSD,

Introduction

I founded the Center for Anxiety and Women’s Emotional Wellness to provide specialized, effective treatment to these populations. After years of working within hospital settings, most recently at the University of Pennsylvania, I decided to take a bit of my own advice and live a life that better aligns with my values, by striking a balance of work and family life and creating this private practice. I am passionate about working with women and clients with anxiety, both unique populations, and providing tailored-care and a virtual space to reflect, approach, problem-solve, and change. EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENTS OFFERED: Exposure and response prevention (ExRP): Developed for OCD, this treatment consists of a client completing exposures (to what is causing them anxiety/ avoidance) and refraining from engaging in behaviors that maintain anxiety Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT): May include exposure therapy, behavioral interventions, and cognitive therapy techniques Prolonged exposure therapy (PE): Developed for the treatment of PTSD, this treatment consists of a client completing exposures unique to their traumatic experience. Habit-reversal training (HRT): Developed for treating body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRB’s). BFRB’s include hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin-picking (excoriation disorder), nail biting, cheek and lip biting, teeth grinding, and knuckle cracking. Additionally, I pull from other third-wave treatments, including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
