"Faithful Catholic Counseling Serving Metropolitan Kansas City and the State of Kansas" Hi, I'm Hunter Cook (pictured below), and in my work with clients I bring a lifetime of experience along with in-depth knowledge of the Catholic faith and training in faith-integrated counseling. I enjoy working with clients from all faith traditions and in secular contexts as well. The thing I love most about being a therapist is journeying with clients - helping INDIVIDUALS find wholeness, COUPLES restore intimacy, FAMILIES heal interaction patterns, and GROUPS support personal transformation. Speaking of groups, new offerings (listed below) are now forming. Group therapy is a great way to begin healing in a cost-effective manner while leaning into life-giving social support. I work from a trauma-informed lens and have AEDP Level I and EMDR Level II certifications. Having navigated many seasons of life, I have accumulated over 18 years of ministry experience helping people find healing and hope. Currently, I am working through steps to become a certified Catholic Spiritual Director so I can provide clients the very best in faith and therapy integration if that is what they seek. Alternatively, we can easily bracket the faith piece and stick with traditional therapy. My office is modern and fresh, located in the co-working suites at the Creative Planning campus at 435 and Nall - the buildings with the big KC Heart facing 435. This location is centrally located in south KC and is easily accessible from all points in the metro. It also has a bustling hospitality kitchen with unlimited fresh coffee, tea, and fruit-infused water. There's even a weekday lunch spot and coffee shop next door for post-session journaling. Regarding fees, I do not take insurance but superbills can be provided for insurance reimbursement. Please see the schedule below for sliding scale options. We can work together to find ways to make counseling affordable for you. Consider reaching out to book a first appointment. I would love to hear your story, discuss your goals and ideas, and take those first steps together. You are meant to live the abundant life. That journey can begin today! I look forward to making the connection. * * * GROUP THERAPY DESCRIPTIONS Saturday mornings, 10-11:30am, telehealth TRAUMA TREATMENT GROUP “Early Recovery: Promoting Safety and Self-Care” Established as a Trauma Information Group using the curriculum of renown trauma therapists Drs.
