Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Codependency, Schizophrenia,

Introduction

I specialize in working with adults who are in recovery from childhood trauma, or difficult relationships with parents, which can show up as an adult as struggles in interpersonal relationships, carrying a sense of inadequacy or shame, feeling unworthy of love, never feeling quite able to reach sufficiency, or feeling like even when you make it to a place of success you don't really belong there. I also specialize in interpersonal psychotherapy, which helps people who struggle to form satisfying stable close relationships with other people, or who find vulnerability in relationships to be frightening, through safely exploring how this presents in the therapeutic relationship and finding creative ways to work through whatever might be making the connection difficult to create opportunities for more satisfying relationships. Lastly, I provide insight-oriented work, which helps with making sense of our thinking or behavior. Many of us go through the world feel there is something inherently wrong with us, but insight-oriented work helps with making sense of our thinking and behavior to begin to recognize that it makes sense based on your life and experiences, thereby reducing shame and self-judgment, and providing opportunities for change.
