Introduction

Meet Ilana: Hi! I have always been passionate about helping others navigate life's challenges. My journey began as a Certified Health Coach, empowering clients to create healthier lifestyles. Through this work, I discovered the profound impact of mental well-being and pursued a career in therapy to provide more comprehensive support. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal and grow. I understand the weight of anxiety, the overwhelm of caregiving, and the lingering effects of trauma. Together, we'll process these experiences, develop coping skills, and unlock your full potential. My Approach Change can be overwhelming, especially when you’re faced with external pressures about what you “should” be doing. I believe change happens incrementally through a holistic, client-centered approach. I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals, incorporating a range of skills: Anxiety & Stress: If you struggle with anxiety, racing thoughts about “what-if” scenarios, feeling the need to “earn'' someone's love, or feeling pressured to be “perfect,” know that you're not alone. These are common experiences, and I'm here to help you navigate them. We can explore these experiences together, develop strategies to manage them, and ultimately create a more fulfilling and peaceful life. We'll explore coping skills using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and healthy boundaries, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge limiting beliefs, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand your inner emotional landscape. Caregiver Stress: Are you feeling the emotional burnout of caring for a child, parent, or multiple family members? It's not uncommon to feel torn between your love for your family and overwhelmed by caregiving demands. This constant pressure can also lead to exhaustion and guilt that you're unable to meet everyone's needs, including your own. The transition from adult child to adult caregiver for your parent can also bring unexpected challenges, like shifting roles, difficult family conversations, and the frustration of comparing your situation to others who seem to manage effortlessly. I can help you navigate these challenges and create a plan toward a more balanced life, where your needs are as important as everyone else’s. Trauma and C-PTSD: For those struggling with the impact of past trauma, anxiety or negative experiences, I offer a compassionate and trauma-informed approach. We may incorporate EMDR to help reprocess difficult memories and reduce their emotional intensity, alongside other evidence-based therapies to facilitate healing and growth. Mind-Body Connection: We'll integrate mindfulness, grounding, and somatic techniques to help you reconnect with your body, understand its signals, and find relief from physical and emotional symptoms.
