I’m so glad you made it! I’m Ileana, a first-generation Latina-American licensed therapist. I have over a decade of experience as a social justice advocate, case manager, and therapist in the non-profit sector. I specialize in working with adults with complex PTSD, in areas of intimate partner violence (IPV), childhood trauma, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, racial and first-generation trauma. I incorporate a somatic, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive approach, that promotes acceptance, healing, and re-visioning for all in the therapeutic space. My approach is informed by a variety of theoretical frameworks, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic principles. I believe that you already contain everything you need to heal. I aim to provide the space where you can build the security within yourself to move through pain and curiously reflect on challenging memories to develop new perspectives. We will take a journey together and along the way share triumphs, sorrows, interests, and laughs. We will collaborate to explore how to implement your strengths, live more mindfully, and leverage your power to live a more fulfilling and authentic life.
