I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving adults of all ethnicities, genders, orientations, relationship structures, and abilities. My practice as a therapist includes techniques from various modalities including feminist theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, systemic therapy, person-centered therapy, and emotion-focused therapy, in conjunction with a social justice lens. I am a Black and Afro-Latina woman, intersectional feminist, social justice advocate, and sex-positive advocate. When we meet, you are likely to find a transparent, empathetic, humble, charming, and relatable individual. My uniquely intersecting identities allow me to connect with and help my clients navigate a plethora of identities and life struggles without the need to explain the intricacies of the identities that they inhabit in therapy. I believe that all of my clients are the expert on themselves and that when we collaborate in therapy, we will find the best possible outcomes together that empower clients to improved outcomes for their mental health. I earned my masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling as well as a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the CACREP accredited top-ranked program at the University of South Florida. And I plan to pursue a PhD in clinical sexology in the near future.
