Hope isn’t passive. It’s born out of the actions we take moment to moment, day to day. We earn our hopefulness honestly–by putting the work in. By choosing to keep going even when it feels impossible. By choosing to keep showing up for ourselves, our families, and our communities–even when the world doesn’t. If the generations that came before us had no hope, how would they have survived? Hope may seem out of reach right now. But humans have always struggled. What kept our ancestors going? What wisdom might we borrow from them when we’re feeling stuck or powerless? If we work together, I will never ignore the very real impact of the tidal wave of oppressive systems relentlessly working against you. But there is hope that lives alongside the struggle, the kind of hope that comes from a willingness to face reality and still choose to see where beauty and light can be found. We’ll search for it together. _____________________________________ Hi. I'm India. I know looking for a therapist can be A LOT. It can be hard to reach out for help, especially when we’re already struggling. If you want to see if I might have something to offer you at this moment in your life, you can schedule a consultation. No charge and no pressure. Just a chance to chat and ask questions about me or about therapy in general. You can learn about how I work and if we might work well together. I’d love to meet you. ____________________________________________________________________ TRAINING & EXPERIENCE I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate experienced in individual and group therapy with young adults and college students. In addition to supporting college students during their journey, I enjoy working with adult clients who experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, racism-related and other complex traumas, and identity exploration. My style of therapy is relational, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive. I often draw from existential, gestalt, and narrative-based interventions. I can answer any questions you have about my approach in your consultation. In my free time, I enjoy writing poetry and making music with my bandmates. As a queer Black woman, I welcome all identities, orientations, and expressions in my office.
