Introduction

Isabella’s specialty is working with couples seeking to deepen their bond, heal from betrayals, improve communication, get unstuck from repetitive cycles of conflict, enhance their sex and intimacy, and navigate relational shifts such as moving in together, getting married or becoming parents. Individually, she helps adults, and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, mood swings, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Complex trauma (c-PTSD), suicidal ideations, self-harm, grief, low self-esteem, burnout, perfectionism, identity exploration, or just simply wanting to get to know themselves better. In addition, Isabella is a Family Therapist, meaning she works with families with adult or teen children seeking to reconnect after periods of estrangement, heal from relational hurts and trauma, navigate challenging conversations, develop healthy boundaries, and build cohesion. At the heart of her therapeutic philosophy is a unified humanistic, experiential, attachment-focused approach that underscores the potential inherent to all of us and the power of relationships. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR), Family Systems and Play Therapy to guide you through your distinctive challenges. Diversity and multiculturalism are foundational to her work. They aren’t mere buzzwords but guiding principles that shape her therapeutic approach. She believes in the power of diversity and inclusivity, acknowledging the richness that emerges when she weaves together different threads of experience. As a Filipino immigrant, she has firsthand experience in the beauty of cross-cultural interactions and is committed to nurturing conversations that transcend borders and backgrounds. She has expanded her expertise to embrace the needs of LGBTQ+ groups and Filipino communities. She recognizes the distinctive aspects and complexities inherent to these contexts. Her goal is to create an inclusive space where individuals, couples and families can delve into their relationship systems, anchored in the principles of understanding, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Isabella has over a decade of clinical experience in various settings including a personally founded practice, Kid Whisperer, where she specialized in Child-Centered Play Therapy for children and teens. She holds an MA in Marital and Family Therapy from Alliant International University – California School of Professional Psychology, an MA in Psychological Services, and a BS in Psychology from Assumption College, Manila.
