Collaboration, awareness, and growth are all values I try to embody in practice. I strive to help clients face and experience all aspects of their emotional lives by helping them t to understand that avoiding feelings in order to maintain control over a difficult past as actually an illusion. Let's be honest: guys struggle with this more often. We try to overcome our pasts by moving forward, but sometimes confuse avoidance with growth. And it can be difficult to fathom talking about feelings in a productive, let alone a "logical" way. But we cannot try to solve emotional problems only with logic. When we begin to understand what we feel and why we feel that way, we see the logic in our feelings. Despite being able to work with most anyone including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, I love working with individual teens and men, as well as those from diverse cultural backgrounds, work through their unhelpful trauma patterns, anxious thoughts and feelings, or hopelessness or guilt. I utilized evidenced-based theories centered around Emotion-focused therapy, CBT, as well as Internal Family Systems.
