Introduction

Hello, my name is Ismary Lopez. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and use Gottman Method Couples Therapy within my work. I comfortably provide therapy In English and Spanish. I have experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults enduring mental and behavioral health difficulties. Additionally, I have been working in aiding couples to achieve synchrony in their relationship while providing support to achieve their goals. My areas of specialty include emotional and behavioral challenges with individuals who are experiencing mood disorders such as but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder in children, adolescents and adults. Moreover, providing parenting support, difficulty adjusting to new life situations, trauma, and gender identity. I also have experience conducting psychological evaluations for individuals undergoing the immigration process. ​ I utilize multiple therapeutic modalities such as but not limited to: Therapeutic Play Techniques, Sandtray Techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I received specific training in treating individuals who have experienced trauma and are displaying symptoms related to their trauma using different modalities such as TF-CBT and Narrative Therapy exercises. I strive to work together with my clients to create goals and provide them with the tools to optimize their inner strengths through empowerment and support
