Hi! My name is Jake. These days, many of us need a little extra support - we carry around stress, anxiety, sadness, relationship difficulty, and uncertainty about our future. As a therapist, my role is to help others find their way and make meaning in their lives. I have specialized training and experience working with survivors of trauma, as well as those living with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and those struggling to find meaning and fulfillment in their lives and relationships. It is my belief that ultimately you are the expert in your own life - my role is to act as a helper, bringing to the table the techniques and strategies that research tells us can be helpful in managing certain mental health symptoms and getting greater fulfillment out of life. A little bit of humor can help too. :D There are so many tools from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, ACT, and other schools of research that have been helpful in my life and in the lives of so many others. If it sounds like we may be a good fit to work together, I'd be honored to play a role in supporting you in getting what you want out of your life. I work with all clients, but have special experience with trauma-informed, sex-positive, client-centered work with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, kink, and queer communities. I also have extensive experience working with those who are neuro-diverse and the young adult community.
