I generally describe myself as a passionate, caring, and driven person. In addition to my role as a psychotherapist at Perspective Therapy, I am also employed with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) as a forensic social worker. I attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for my undergraduate degree and received my Bachelor of Science in Public Health and minored in Psychology and Spanish. I completed my Master of Social Work from Fordham University. My professional title is Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), attachment therapy, play therapy, group therapy, and art therapy. I am fortunate to have had various experiences in the mental health and counseling fields. I have inpatient and outpatient experience supporting individuals with various diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and substance use disorders. I’ve also worked with forensically involved individuals, including juveniles in a detention facility. I am passionate about working with individuals from various backgrounds. I believe it is important to customize therapy for each client on an individual basis, as everyone is unique. As a psychotherapist, I strive to provide a therapeutic and safe environment of mutual respect, authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. Outside of my professional career, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog. I also enjoy reading, traveling, working out, and hiking. I am here to support you on your journey to well-being. If you feel that we might be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a session. I look forward to the possibility of working with you!
