Hi there, my name is Jacqueline and I am a queer, Latinx, trauma-informed therapist! I have experience working with the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities which has influenced my passion for offering an affirming and safe space in session. I have clinical experience working with trauma, life transitions, and family conflict. These life events often lead to more serious mental health problems like depression, anxiety, or PTSD and my role is to help you navigate them in a way that allows you to live your life again. I can help you find tools to better manage life stressors and cultivate a life that is balanced and worth living! I will work with you to identify your strengths to highlight your resiliency. I use an intersectional lens to create a treatment plan that is specific to each person's needs. Communities of color have had to adapt and develop strategies of survival to endure marginalization and historical trauma. Let’s decolonize and reclaim the therapeutic space! I use an integrative approach, these are the theoretical frameworks I pull from: CBT, TF-CBT, CPT, Narrative, Strength-Based, Humanistic and Feminist Therapy. You will catch me creatively sprinkling in some play, art, and writing as tools in therapy.
