We often have life experiences that can be overwhelming and difficult to handle on our own. If you find yourself caught in a web of overwhelming emotions, anxiety, or depression, trying to balance multiple responsibilities or grappling with past experiences, please know that I am here to provide support. Together, we will navigate through these challenges by identifying the obstacles and discovering effective coping strategies that suit you best. You don't have to face these struggles alone; I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth. With over a decade of experience working at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas (www.childrens.com), UT Southwestern Medical Center Neuropsychology department (www.utswmed.org), and private practice, I bring a unique perspective to therapy. My vast work experience with children and adults in outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment, allows me to help you develop personalized strategies and skills tailored to your needs. By taking a comprehensive treatment approach using evidence-based approaches, we can explore the root causes of your struggles and develop techniques for growth and healing. Taking the step to seek therapy can be challenging, but know I am here to help as you take the first step toward change and healing. Together, we will navigate family, job, and relationship conflicts to create a more fulfilling and balanced life. I look forward to working with you on your journey of growth and change. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing based on your background. There is a lot of background information that I will need to collect to fully understand your situation. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. What treatment methods and tools do you utilize? As a licensed professional counselor, I employ multiple powerful therapies: CBT, PDT, and MBSR. These approaches utilize various treatment methods and tools to facilitate positive change and growth. CBT: Challenging negative thoughts, using thought records and behavioral experiments. PDT: Examining the effects of early life experiences on current thoughts and behaviors. MBSR: Mindfulness, and mindful breathing to cultivate self-awareness and reduce stress. By utilizing these methods and tools, therapy sessions empower individuals to address negative thinking patterns, develop emotional skills, and foster mindfulness, leading to personal growth and improved well-being. Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths. As a licensed professional counselor, my expertise lies in a wide range of areas, including anxiety, child and adolescent issues, eating disorders, family conflict, mood disorders, OCD, self-esteem, sexual abuse, ADHD, anger management, bipolar disorder, depression, parenting, and grief. However, my true passion and niche lie in empowering individuals to tap into their inherent strengths. By fostering resilience, promoting self-discovery, and guiding clients through transformative journeys, I help you discover your inner power to overcome challenges and create positive change.
