I am a second-career individual with a background as a clinical dietitian, bringing life experience, insight, and an intention to create meaningful change in the world. I aim to offer a safe, supportive, and accepting space for all of the individuals I collaborate with. We may wonder what is “wrong” with us or why we are different from people—these questions can arise when we do not realize what led us away from ourselves. We are all a product of our biology, psychology, and sociocultural context. When we understand how we came to be, we are more empowered to become who we want to be. So much of what we are looking for already exists inside of us, but we often need a trusted guide to join our journey inward. My graduate education is through New York University; I am pursuing additional clinical training in AEDP, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Polyvagal Theory (for nervous system regulation). Techniques and approaches aside, I am excited to provide what science and clients name as the most influential factor in counseling—the therapeutic relationship, which I honor and hold in high regard. I am interested in working with adults who want to heal childhood wounds or are struggling with intimacy, relationship issues, identity, self-esteem, life dissatisfaction, disconnection, and more. If you feel curious about whether we would be a good fit, I encourage you to trust that feeling and reach out. We can explore this question and more together as we determine how to best assist you.
