Hi, I’m Jade! I specialize in couples and families of all stages, women’s hormonal and perinatal mental health, spirituality, and home and life management such as ‘adulting’ or the unpaid labor of motherhood. Born and raised in Eastern Washington, my mother taught me that people who hurt others are hurting inside. I became a counselor to provide and promote empathy, strength, and courage. Most of my career I’ve worked with youth, and I found that the best way to improve their behavior was by improving the relationships between their family members. Many therapists are intimidated by high conflict couples and families, but I believe that with the right support they can readily apply new communication skills and experience each other in more supportive ways. When I became a new mom in 2021, I experienced perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety. I was far from home and the pandemic was still in full swing. During my second pregnancy, restrictions were loosened and I was frequently ill while chasing and nursing my oldest. We moved several times. I became a farmer’s wife and harvest became a four letter word. Then, I lost several loved ones in a short time. I found myself in a gap where little to no services or support were available to me. Years later, I’ve come to love and appreciate what working in agriculture has provided us. I’ve gradually recovered my health and mission with the support of my family, my faith, and my community, as well as the power of my own research and resilience. As I return to work, my heart is for marriages and moms of all stages from preconception to launching and beyond. Maybe you’re experiencing the challenges of balancing your own needs with those of your loved ones. You want to learn to express your thoughts and feelings without causing an argument. You want to sleep more restfully, work more effectively, and play more joyfully. You want to honor what you’ve lost, and you’re determined to rediscover or develop your best self. As a wife and mother who calls the lower valley home, I aim to use my training, gifts, and lived experience to support you and your important relationships to promote mental health and personal growth. In addition to raising two young girls, I volunteer for my church and Zillah Young Life. My goal for 2025 is to become Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C). I offer a FREE 30 minute consultation by phone or in person. Sliding scale or superbill for insurance reimbursement also available. Virtual and In-Person support groups coming soon!
