Taking the first step in therapy or finding a therapist that understands you, that you can trust, or where you feel that “click” or connection with, may be uncomfortable or even difficult. My name is Jadyn Vargas. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and my mission is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and consistently receive the best possible care that aligns with your therapeutic needs and desires. I aim to create a safe, comfortable, nonjudgmental space for you to process your feelings and emotions and help you work towards identifying and accomplishing the goals you would like to achieve. I have experience working with clients varying in age, demographics, and mental health diagnoses including anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorder, personality disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder. I am incredibly passionate about my work, providing a fresh perspective where different treatment modalities and approaches will be utilized to best fit your needs. No matter the reason you are beginning your journey in therapy, whether it be learning to cope with depression, managing anxiety or an anxiety disorder, improving self esteem, working through life transitions or relationships issues, processing past traumas or grief, battling substance abuse and addiction, simply wanting a listening ear to discuss ongoing struggles (whatever they may be), and everything in between, I am here to help. Healing is not linear, and you certainly don’t have to do it alone! I obtained my Master's degree from Fordham University after years of what I felt was my calling to the field of mental health counseling/therapy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I practice what I preach, so I’m big on self-care. Some of my favorite self-care practices include exercising, journaling, spending time with supportive and loving family and friends (especially my three dogs), singing, and baking.
