I am a certified IFS therapist. I have primarily worked and received training as a psychotherapist in University based community mental health before venturing into private practice. It was there, that I learned evidence based practices such Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy, and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy. Most recently, I completed my level 1 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) at the IFS institute in Boston MA. I also completed my level 2 intensive as well. I now use this modality to help clients release internal constraints and have a better relationship with themselves in order to make changes they want to see in their lives. Sometimes clients need CBT and DBT to first help them cope before moving on to IFS, and if that is this case I am happy to meet you where you are and use those approaches as well. I work to bring honesty, authenticity, empathy, creativity and humor to help form a relationship you can trust as we work together.
